8th Graders and Parents: A very sad, yet joyous occurrence has happen in our school family. Matthew Simpson's grandfather, Jerry Brockman, died yesterday morning after battling cancer for many years. While Jerry is now in a more joyous, beautiful, peaceful place with his Creator, we are sadly left without someone who did so much for all of us, was a friend to many, and loved by many. Our class lunches often involved Jerry's helpful hands, as did the barbeques on field day at the end of the school year, not to mention all the support he gave so that his wife Gayle, and his daughter Janelyn, could also help us in so many ways. He will be greatly missed. Please keep all of them in your prayers. There will be a Memorial Service for Jerry this Friday, September 2nd, at 2pm, in the school auditorium, here, at Our Lady of Mercy School.
